Our Story

Big things have small beginnings, and some days it's hard to believe that the Autorama Group of companies started its journey in 2004 with a team of just three people - including CEO and founder Andy Alderson. 

Today, we employ around 230 people at our Hemel Hempstead main office working across the company's key brands: Vanarama, Vanarama Cars, Pickup Trucks Direct, Insurance, Fleet Management, and now Motorama.

We've always found its dedication to providing industry-leading customer service and the staff that provide it to be the recipe for success. This success was reflected in 2015 when we won the prestigious Lloyds Bank National Business Award for Best Small to Medium Sized Business, an award that recognised our commitment to training, customer service and innovation.

The company has also been confirmed as a Sunday Times 100 Best Small Company To Work For in the UK in 2016, 2017 and 2018, with Andy being named Best Leader at the 2017 awards ceremony. We're also a member of the Institute of Customer Service with a distinction grading.

With Motorama, we're going to change the way people drive brand-new cars, and we're going to use all of our know-how and customer service experience to do it right.
